The department of ceremonies and events is responsible for planning and executing the University’s commencement ceremonies and various events throughout the year. We strive to provide a memorable experience at each event.
COMMENCEMENT
The University of Alabama holds its commencement ceremonies after each semester. The department of ceremonies and events organizes all logistics to ensure a smooth execution of each ceremony, while the Office of the University Registrar handles all degree information. Event staff for the ceremonies is comprised of faculty and staff from across campus, who represent the heart and soul of UA, and strive to make the event special for all attending. CAMPUS ASSEMBLY
Held biannually, Campus Assembly is an open invitation to faculty and staff, and includes awards, statements from campus organizations and an address from the president. The staff coordinates Campus Assembly and also works collaboratively with other colleges and departments on various events throughout the year.
