The role of the Department of Web Communications is to devise, coordinate and optimize the University’s Internet presence as an element of the institution’s overall communications and marketing strategy.
The Department of Web Communications is responsible for fostering the institutional web presence; managing the top levels of the University of Alabama website; setting policy, guidelines and standards for official UA websites; and providing direction, support and consultation for web initiatives campus-wide.
